Helloooooo August!

I don't know about you, but I can already feel that August is going to be an amazing month! First things first, the month is starting off with a FULL MOON - how cool is that? But, even better, we get 2 Full Moons this month - another one is coming on Friday, August 31, making that one a Blue Moon. I have this weird feeling that August is going to be one of those really special months, like the saying goes,"Once in a blue moon...." 

Astrologically, here is what we can expect this month....Mercury is in Leo from June 25-August 31. When Mercury is in Leo, our thinking is more confident and grand. The focus is now on the goal--and the more grand a goal the better! The details may not be quite as important now. We are more expressive, even theatrical and given to speech-giving and story-telling under this influence. We are also more convincing and persuasive, as we exude confidence when we speak or write.

Besides my moon obsessions, this month is looking to be quite incredible due to some really cool events going on in both my personal and professional lives.

Personally ~ August marks 4 years since my husband, Devin and I first met. This month holds such a special place in our hearts and I will write more about it in detail tomorrow, on August 2, our actual anniversary. Also, I'm taking 2 big trips this month, which I am SO excited for! I've been working like crazy on all my projects for 6 months solid, so these will be very welcomed breaks. On Friday, I am heading east to visit my parents in their new home in Virginia Beach, Virginia. They moved there two months ago from Hawaii, on military orders with my dad's job in the Navy. Not gonna lie, I was a wee bit more excited to visit them in Hawaii vs. Virginia, but they moved 2 miles from my grandparents, whom I adore, so that makes it worth the trip! The second trip is happening at the end of the month, when Devin and I take our big vacay and go to NYC, Italy and Portugal for 2.5 weeks. Exploring new cities, being adventurous, living outside of our comfort zones and doing yoga around the world are what we love to do together most as a couple, so I am literally counting down the days! 31, 30, 29....

Professionally ~ August 1 started off with a bang! All morning, I've been working on international Zen Girl orders, which makes me so happy to think that my clothes will be seen around the world! I've got two big orders: one going out to Bella Vie Yoga studio in France and another to a client in New Caledonia (an small island off Australia...I had to google it!)

The other highlight of August is our big Paddle Into Fitness SUP Yoga Teacher Training, happening August 15-18 here in San Diego! We have officially sold-out the training, with 16 super enthusiastic yogis coming out from all over the US and Canada to participate. I am so proud of all the hard work our team has put into making this happen and cannot wait to meet our students in person!

According to the stars, August is set to be a very creative and confident month for all of us. I am going to really push myself to set BIG goals and utilize all this creative energy to keep expressing myself through yoga and writing. I encourage you to join me!
