Review: Solkissed Swimwear

Can I please tell you how great it feels to support small business owners? Especially when their hand-made, itsy-bitsy bikini bottoms make you feel like a hot Brazilian beach goddess?

Meet: Solkissed Swimwear ~ a fun new bikini line inspired by and made by hand in South America - where the culture consists of vibrant colors, beautiful, indigenous patterns and passionate people - who are proud of their bodies and love to flaunt it at the beach! All of these elements shine through in the pieces made by Alejandra, the founder of Solkissed Swimwear. She is also part of the Etsy community, which I love, and has gotten tons of great feedback from her buyers - they can't get enough of her bikinis! Check it out for yourself here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/SolkissedSwimwear

Here is a fun little photoshoot I did at the beach in front of my house, Windansea Beach....naturally, since I'm a yogi, I had to see if the bikini would hold up during a little beach yoga sesh. I'm happy to report that, despite the brazilian cut, the bottoms stayed fully intact in both Lotus and Camel poses :)

This lavendar bandeau tie top and zig zag brazilian bottom (pictured above) are my current faves! I also have my eye on the Bright Blue Fringe Bikini Top with the Hawaiian Cheeky Bottoms (oooh la la!) from her new Summer 2012 collection on Etsy.
